Indie/Punk/Classic Cover Band song suggestions

Hey guys! I'm thinking of forming a cover band for some drunken fun. I'd like to know if anyone has any song suggestions that they think would like to hear played in a small dive bar. I'm thinking of stuff along the lines of gvb, pavement, replacements, stones, clash, husker du... you know, classic indie, punk, rock, etc.....

Any ideas?

Exclamation Lack Of Requirement Leads To Dozens Of River Rescues Each Year

Adventure-seekers who are floating down jacket the Colorado river with pool toys are keeping rescuers busy this summer. In addition, many are not wearing life-jackets and despite what authorities think, there is nothing illegal about it.Each day, dozens of people enjoy a relaxing float down the Colorado River through Grand Junction. But, quickly, that ride can turn to panic in an instant."In one week, we did roughly five or six," Lt. Jim Fogg with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office said of river rescues.Calls to the river are coming in almost on a daily basis in Mesa County. And in each case, there seems to be an underlying theme. "The consistent theme is always single chamber flotation devices where somebody gets thrown out or thrown off," Lt. Fogg said.Single chamber flotation devices are the inner-tubes, air mattresses, and other blow-up water toys that are available at local grocery stores. What is making matters worse for rescuers this year is that most people in need of rescue are not wearing life-jackets because it isn't required by law.In fact, Colorado state law requires only people in certified watercraft like boats and canoes to wear a life Men's Jackets. People floating down on the more dangerous pool toys are exempt."There is no life-jacket law for tubes, air mattresses, single chamber air inflated devices," Kris Wahlers with Colorado State Parks and Wildlife explained. The lack of regulation is something that does not sit well with local authorities who see the same problem over and over. "I've asked people why the law is written the way it is. I mean, [single-chamber devices] are not designed for running in rapid-running water. They're designed for us in a flat pool or flat lake."And, because so many people do not use life-vests, some think the law needs to be changed. "Cold water definitely affects people negatively," Wahlers explained. "Why gamble your life with thinking you can swim your way out of that when life-jackets are so easy, they're comfortable, and so readily accessible?"Wahlers says the statistics do not lie. "In 2009, 3/4 of the people who died in boat accidents were from drowning and 84% of those people were not wearing life-jackets," he said. "We see similar numbers on the single-chamber device end, too."Locally in just the last few weeks, rescuers have started to see an increased number of people in trouble on the water. But, they say it's important to keep these numbers in context. Of the hundreds of people that hit the river each week, they say they rescue a very small percentage. We are told that local government agencies have the ability to pass ordinances requiring life-jacket use in their area. The state can also change the law as a whole. But, state and county officials say nothing is currently in the works."
