Re: Guitars
Depends what sort of sound and feel you want I guess. From what I've fiddled around on, Gibsons are great for that warm tone and more retro sounds, Jacksons rule for shred and Fenders are the most versatile. Ideally I'd love to have a Fender p-Bass, instead I have a replica built for me locally. I had to have it built because I'm a lefty and southpaw axes are hard to come by here.

Re: Guitars
I used to do that, but with a Fender style, the cutaway is in the wrong place and its hard to noodle around on the higher frets. Anyway, my custom piece has served me really well for about half a decade now. I love her dearly.

Re: Guitars
My husband plays guitar. He has several...three Fender guitars, two of those are electric and the other one is an acoustic. Then he has an Epiphone acoustic and a Washburn, Ibanez, and a Kramer which are electric. The Fenders are his favorite. Oops, almost forgot he has one more, a Squire Stratocaster, which is made by Fender. One of the things he spoils himself with.

Re: Guitars
I've just got a battered tank of an acoustic with the words "Harmony" at the top. I figure that's the company that made it. It's from the 70's or something.
When there's more space I will definitely invest in a few acoustics - never really got into electric (maybe because I never had one, just jam on other people's). Make doesn't matter to myself - I wouldn't know how to tell one guitar brand sound from another. If it's in tune and is fairly easy to play then I'm happy. ![]() Not played much guitar recently, though - only recently undusted and re-tuned my Harmony a few weeks back, after around 2 years with no play.

Re: Guitars
This Harmony is a tank among acoustics! The clearance between the strings and the fretboard is pretty absurdly high. Takes some strength to play - no dainty dancing of the fingers. However, I was told that if I could learn to play that, I could play any guitar. People who learned on electric's first simply cannot cope with it. Barring is a nightmare.
It's a bit worse for wear nowadays, though - will buy a new one some day. ![]() Are you particularly into guitars, Rumey? If so, do you tend to prefer acoustic or electrics? (Or even semi's?).
