Re: Whats your fav type of metal?
Melodic black metal is by far my most favourite genrè, though heavy/thrash ranks high as well.
However, one of the tell-tale characteristics of a good metal band is one that blends genrès and styles. Few bands do this truly, too rigid or occupied in staying "true" to their narrowly defined sub-genrè or style to evolve. To give an example of a band that is the very antithesis of rigid reluctance to change is Opeth. Every song, every album is breaking new ground. That's metal, who cares whether it's black or blue? |

Re: Whats your fav type of metal?
I just got home last night from the misery index, neuraxis concert. IT WAS UNREAL! Neuraxis is one of the best live bands I have ever seen. It was great. It was in a small club basically and there was about 50-100 people with the bands in the middle of the crowd, some moshing, some chatting.
great way to spend halloween. \m/ |

Ok Aftermath, I can vote now, thanks. The accent? Yes, it's an Italian band. Also try not to pay too much attention to the lyrics
Still they have a good musical formation (several years of conservatoty) and well I just like what they're doing. |

I don't ever recall hearing of Xentrix. What type are they?
And, Kassad i like Rhapsody. I even like the lyrics :P, but when you listen to him sing it they become cruddy. So i just don't listen to him. Take it in as one, music and singing :P |

Re: Whats your fav type of metal?
BTW Aftermath, which album did you have? Have you tried Luca Turilli's solo album? His second one "Egnima" is based on the SF movie "Event horizon" and hence is kinda different from all the other who are fantasy based.
I agree about the taking it as a whole thingy but the spoken passages are just too much ![]() |
