Re: Metallica
You'll need an FTP client.
I use AceFTP if thats any help. You have send the files to them using FTP, then they listen to make sure that it is what you say it is. Once they have verified it, they will then move the files to a permanent server, where they will remain part of a huge internet library forever. ![]() |

Re: Metallica
I marked Ride the Lightning. However, it was really close with Kill'em All and Master of Puppets. Dave Mustane was a great lead for Metallica and that's the time I got into them. Hetfield did a good job too. I won't complain about how good or bad they are now, I will just say that after their black album their music wasn't the kind I liked anymore.

Re: Metallica
Master of Puppets, without a doubt.
Everything pre-black was pretty great really; in Justice they started to change, but they could still write. In the black album, they had their moments, (Of wolf and man, wherever I may roam, through the never...) Although Lars and James are credited with just about everything, their music suffered when Cliff Burton died. Since then, I dunno - lets just say Load was appropriately titled. |

I prefer their old stuff. I like Slayer and Pantera and Sepultera. I don't like Load but that doesn't mean that their music suffered after Black or blah blah blah. It means that it changed. |

But yeah, you're right. It just changed, kinda the way Arnold Schwarzennegger's action days changed after he had the heart bypass. ![]() |

Re: Metallica
I hate metallica now! Others might like them. I am just saying I am no judge of talent so I won't say if their music is worse, better, different but good, etc... I don't like the kind of music they put out now. I want some KILL EM ALL some WHIPLASH some MASTER OF PUPPETS; just the same as I have loved the old and new Slayer, SOUTH OF HEAVEN, BLOODLINE, DISCIPLE!!
Glad you like the same Metallica I do tho ![]() |

The Justice of it All
Actually, a simple look at the music sheets of ...And Justice for All and Load will reveal that musical structure and note variations are more complex on Load than the majority of the songs on, what I feel, an earlier album full of self-indulgent guitar solos.

Re: Metallica
The pure, unadulterated grunt of the early Metallica guitar is a thing of beauty - from the heavy repetition of Justice, to the classic For Whom The Bell Tolls - I went out to my shed (man zone) & blasted them for old times sake after reading this forum. You seen them live Hodor? In Sydney (just after the Black album) they played an over 3 hour set. The crowd was tired, looking at their watches, & the boys just kept PUMPING! Best I've ever seen live. I've seen video of Rammstein live & they look awesome, but until I'm in the crowd soaking it up, I'll reserve judgement.
