Songs to...

If you were a character in a film, then what would you soundtrack the following moments with?

Death scene

Love scene

Chase scene

Gunfight

Swordfight

Emotional breakdown scene

Ultra-violence scene (a la A Clockwork Orange)

Tense thriller moment

(these are all fairly of a form, but are also the most conducive to cool soundtracks. Feel free to suggest others).

Mine would be, respectively:

Death - The Velvet Underground - It was a pleasure then
Love scene - Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes
Chase scene - The Go-Team - The Power is On
Gunfight - Crystal - New Order
Swordfight- Muse - Time is Running Out
Emotional Breakdown - Joy Division - She's Lost Control
Ultra-violence - Felix Da Housecat - Short Skirts
Thrillery tense moment- The Velvet Underground - The Murder Mystery (alt mix)

Et tu, Brute?

Re: Songs to...

Death scene - Sounds of Silence / Simon and Garfunkle

Love scene - Temple of Love / Sisters of Mercey

Chase scene - Smilie Happy People / REM

Gunfight - American Music / Violent Femmes

Swordfight - Black Velvet / Alanah Milees

Emotional breakdown scene - Wonderwall / Oasis or Sweat Dreams / Eurithymics

Ultra-violence scene (a la A Clockwork Orange) - Flash / Queen

Tense thriller moment - Man who Sold the World / Bowie

Of Course, even as I'm typing this I'm thinking of others, I love music, and find it difficult to choose absolutes for anything

Re: Songs to...

I bet you can sing to Princes Ivy . I can't carry a tune in a dump truck. Got one of those voices that breaks up if I go to high or to low. I like pretty well any kind of music, Boch, Bethoven, clasics, jaz, country and western and of course can't do without good old Rock and Roll.

Re: Songs to...

If I tried to sing when the kids were little they would put their fingers in their ears and giggle, little rascals . But when I know there isn't anyone around the house I sing with a tune on the sterio actually if it's a really good tune I dance around the room with the broom
Get down and boogie, lets do the wall boogie, ya I like feeling good to Princes Ivy.
