Re: Now Playing...

Various Echo & The Bunnymen songs, including a neat cover of People Are Strange.

Bits of this and that lying aboy hard-drive (Reverend Glasseye, Dresden Dolls, Soltero). Rediscovering how brilliant a song Hunted by a Freak is.

Re: Now Playing...

Dresden Dolls still sound pretty good to me. Disturbing, but very cool.

Now listening to various songs by Modest Mouse. I think I'm starting to like them - I mean, it's non-heavy modern-rock stuff, which usually doesn't grab me, but it doesn't step over into dull, drab wimp-rock territory.

Re: Now Playing...

Everyone was harping-on about their album, but to be honest I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Float On is great, but not gobsmacking. I disagree with a lot of things, though, so meh.

Re: Now Playing...

Yes, certainly didn't find it gobsmacking, but it made a nice change from the sort of bands I've been hearing of most of the time, all those bands with numbers in their names who always seem to play this utterly characterless mush they laughably call music.

Now listening to: VAST

Re: Now Playing...

Schism by Tool. I think this is one of the best songs ever written. Finding beauty in the dissonance...
