Re: Profound Lyrics
Pretending not to notice I gazed far outside a small window
The voice of an angel fills the sky Embraced by the wind The noise reflected in your eyes can't hear a thing Now it's just "a trick of sweet time" I whispered to the sky Around and round... In the time left behind, I am now Les miserables I loved you too much and you are now on the other side of the wall Laughing softly My feelings will never reach you... I'll put them in a sigh Bathed in the cold wind Imagining these feelings night after night The melody I hum softly Is etched in time and disappears I can't forget the sadness that will I can never go back Even now I can't dye myself with these swaying emotions and my body Is about to break... Where can I go so that the sadness of being alone will disappear? "I h a v e t o m o r r o w......" Around and round... In the time left behind, I am now Les miserables I loved you too much and you are now on the other side of the wall Laughing softly Les miserables Falling deeply into an almost forgotten dream, I am now Les miserables I loved you too much and you are now on the other side of the wall Laughing softly Todokanai kono omoi dake... toiki ni nose Gackt's Mizerable single... |

When you're a part of America
There's a growing feeling of hysteria Conditioned to respond to all the threats And the rhetorical speaches of the Soviets Mr. Kuschov say he will bury you I don't subscribe to this point of view It'd be such an ignorant thing to do If the Russians love their children too How can I save my little boy From upinheimers deadly toy There is no monopoly of common sense On the other side of th political fence We share the same biology Regardless of ideology Believe me when I say to you I hope the Russians love their children too There is no historical president To put the words in the mouth of the president There's no such thing as a winable war It the lie we don't believe anymore Mr. Regan says we will protect you I don't subscribe to this point of view Believe me when I say to you I hope the Russians love their children too We share the same biology Regardless of ideology What might save us: me and you Is if the russians love their children too I know...I'm pretty political...even though all this stuff happened over a decade ago and its not even about my country but still. Its really well thought out and to a good tune too. |

Re: Profound Lyrics
Good lyrics Melissa and one IMO best songs of Stings
And now an oldie from 1975 : I've done a lot, God knows I've tried To find the truth, I've even lied But all I know is down inside I'm bleeding. And Super Heroes come to feast To taste the flesh not yet deceased And all I know is still the beast is feeding. And crawling on the planet's face Some insects called the human race Lost in time, lost in space And meaning. |

Re: Profound Lyrics
I consider this to be my theme.
Animaiden and Anjana know why. Autumn leaves are falling 'round us Time to gather all those many thoughts Of all the things that might have been Or gained at such a cost For some of us there's endless hoping For some of us craziness too Holding on to better reason Works for me and you, You know it's true And when the stakes are higher Never play with fire Leave it alone I wandered through a country churchyard And wondered what kind of life they led Walked into a castle ruin Of gentry that had fled For some of them had endless hoping Some of them crazy too Holding on to better reasons We'll never truely know Those trees will tumble down On a stormy day And those leaves will fade away, fade away The Autumn leaves are falling 'round us I'm here to gather all my many thoughts Of all the things that might have been As the ground has turned to frost Clannad - Autumn Leaves Are Falling |

Profound Pearl Jam Lyrics
I'll take a break from quoting Ani DiFranco or Bob Dylan when kin topics in regards to lyrics come up, and go with one of my personal favorite Counting Crows tunes.
"Anna Begins" 'My friend assures me, "It's all or nothing." I am not worried I am not overly concerned My friend implores me, "For one time only, make an exception." I am not worried Wrap her up in a package of lies Send her off to a coconut island I am not worried I am not overly concerned with the status of my emotions "Oh," she says, "you're changing." But we're always changing It does not bother me to say this isn't love Because if you don't want to talk about it then it isn't love And I guess I'm going to have to live with that But I'm sure there's something in a shade of grey, Something in between, And I can always change my name If that's what you mean My friend assures me, "It's all or nothing." But I am not really worried I am not overly concerned You try to tell yourself the things you try to tell yourself To make yourself forget I am not worried "If it's love," she said, "then we're going to have to think about the consequences." She can't stop shaking I can't stop touching her and... This time when kindness falls like rain It washes her away and Anna begins to change her mind "These seconds when I'm shaking leave me shuddering for days," she says And I'm not ready for this sort of thing But I'm not going to break and I'm not going to worry about it anymore I'm not going to bend, and I'm not going to break and I'm not going to worry about it anymore It seems like I should say, "As long as this is love..." But it's not all that easy so maybe I should Snap her up in a butterfly net Pin her down on a photograph album I am not worried I've done this sort of thing before But then I start to think about the consequences Because I don't get no sleep in a quiet room and... The time when kindness falls like rain It washes me away and Anna begins to change my mind And everytime she sneezes I believe it's love and Oh lord, I'm not ready for this sort of thing She's talking in her sleep It's keeping me awake and Anna begins to toss and turn And every word is nonsense but I understand and Oh lord, I'm not ready for this sort of thing Her kindness bangs a gong It's moving me along and Anna begins to fade away It's chasing me away She disappears and Oh lord, I'm not ready for this sort of thing' |

Re: Profound Lyrics
Not really prefound, but damn funny... Always makes me laugh... And laughing is good:
Oh, Sister Josephine What do all these policemen mean By coming to the convent in a grim limousine After Sister Josephine? While you, Sister Josephine You sit with your boots up on the altar screen You smoke one last cigar What a funny nun you are The policemen say that Josephine's a burglar in disguise Big bad Norman - fifteen years on the run The sisters disbelieve it: No, that can't be Josephine Just think about her tenderness towards the younger nuns Oh, Sister Josephine They're searching the chapel where you've been seen The nooks and the crannies of the nun's canteen After Sister Josephine While you, Sister Josephine You sip one farewell Benedictine Before your au revoir A right funny nun you are Admittedly her hands are big and hairy And embellished with a curious tattoo Admittedly her voice is on the deep side And she seems to shave more often than the other sisters do Oh, Sister Josephine Founder of the convent pontoon team They're looking through your bundles of rare magazines After Sister Josephine While you, Sister Josephine You give a goodbye sniff of benzedrine To the convent budgerigar A bloody funny nun you are No longer will her snores ring through the chapel during prayers Nor her lustful moanings fill the stilly night No more empty bottles of altar wine come clunking from her cell No longer will the cloister toilet seat stand upright Oh, Sister Josephine Slipping through their fingers like vaseline Leaving them to clutch your empty crinoline After Sister Josephine While you, Sister Josephine Sprinting through the suburbs when last seen Dressed only in your wimple and your rosary A right funny nun you seem to be Last edited by The Masterâ„¢ : 06-18-2005 at 12:55 PM. |
