Re: Rammstein
There's a Bulgarian Trio of female vocalists whom i first heard in the backing tracks of a Kate Bush album.
Never heard harmonising like this,....ever. http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/trio_b...09/album.jhtml This link should take you to available sound-clips. |

Re: Rammstein
I have acces to all their cd's. saw them live at rock werchter, and they rocked! Glad you appreciate them.
Most people think they're Nazi's , but in fact they are totally against Nazism. They had a fight with a other band that had such tendencies try Morgenstern , I simply love it! |

Re: Rammstein
Rammstein rules! They have been on a concert here, it's a shame I didn't manage to see them live - they always have a great show with fireworks and things like that - cool!
And they songs really rock! BTW, why do some people need to understand the words of the songs to appreciate it? As long as it sounds good, who cares in what language and what do they sing about? I just don't understand all this "I don't like bands which don't sing in English" thing. *puzzled look* |

But I know many people misunderstand the songs. Anyway Rammstein's words, songs and the heavy sound is what rocks - one of the best bands really. |

Re: Rammstein
I agree. Rammstein is heavily mistaken for something they're not.
what they are is one of the best German bands ever. and probably some of the best performers in the world. so what, they are a bit superorganised, it has to be like that with all those fireworks, right? |

Re: Rammstein
Rammstein, saw them live, listened to all their albums, and it's a bit too much leather and fire what they rely on, but...
as Brian said 'Sonne' (Sun) is a good song, which is a rather calm song. My all time favourite is Klavier, which can be found on Sehnsucht, though. |

Re: Rammstein
I only know Rammstein from some of their videos that made heavy MTV rotation few years back--not sure about names but think may have been Sehnsucht and Sonne (maybe? words look familiar lol) I dont know any German so have no idea what the songs are about, but I did really like the sound and the energy, and would probably check them out more given the chance...since I am a fan of Gaelic (i.e. Clannad) and some Middle Eastern music (i.e. Dead Can Dance) I for one dont think the ability to understand the language is crucial to enjoying the music...hell I enjoy the elven songs featured in LOTR soundtracks as well lol...and alot of American rock music might as well be in another language with the mumbling and screaming going on...doesnt mean its always bad

If you are interested in Rammstein's lyrics and other info - you might want to explore www.herzeleid.com -although it's probable that you already are familiar with that site
