Good choice Spook I always like to check out skuzz, although the antiques rock show is my fave, good ol' pantera and machine head!

Re: Views on MTV

The problem I have with MTV2 here in England is that they never take any risks, they'd rather show the same video for a band like the Foo Fighters, who are very popular, 2 times every hour than take a risk on something different. However the 120 minutes show is really good, it shows really diverse and interesting music, but it's on at 1 or 2 in the morning!

MTV has just become a bleak home of money obsessed advertisers and bands. Mostly, anyway.

Re: Views on MTV

Do they even show videos at all on MTV anymore? As opposed to MTV 2, which do actually do so sometimes.

Re: Views on MTV

The Music in Mtv is gone. All they show is Puffy Dad and that crap when music comes on. Otherwise it is Laguna beach and that real world crap. I wish Mtv would go away

Or you could just... not watch it

cacotopos - I have caught the "120 minutes" thing a couple of times, after getting home from work around midnight, and having to eat afterwards, but I didn't really enjoy it, I must admit. Then again, its not my kind of music anyway

Re: Views on MTV

I tend not to watch Mtv that much. I always pass by it as I flip channels.

It tends to be a mixed bag for me, there's something I'm interested in about 5 videos out of 15, so it ain't exactly birilium.
I just find it interesting because they show American 'Indie' type stuff that's popular in the US but doesn't really get a chance over here, mixed with leftfield completely weird music.

Exclamation Re: Views on MTV

Are MTV pays to reclam it here? MTV is not discussible...Just turn off your TV screen and get in the wire. All music you need is in the I-net for free,...if you know how.

Re: Views on MTV

I used to like MTV when I was younger (read-in 1999) but my tastes in music have evolved and since MTV doen't play good music (aka not rap or commercialized pop) much, I don't watch it. When I'm flipping through I may watch part of a show (must . . . strangle . . . sweet . . 16 . . spoiled . . girls), but nothing more. Give me VH1 , Fuse (when I'm home), or the 24 hr music video stations I get with digital cable (when I'm home also).

Note: these are my opinions
