I have just heard a song on the radio it’s a remake of Sweet Child of mine by Guns and Rose's I have no idea who has remaid it but it suck. It has bean remade, mixed, changed, destroyed in to a dance song with no emotion in it the singing in it is very bad I think it is not real sing anyway and the way they have changed the actual music and kept the word the same in my eye’s they have destroyed the song. OK this is what annoyed me the most the song finished and some one phoned up and said "It's a very original song." At this point the radio was getting abuse though at it from some unknown source



Anyway that is what I though of it and I was just wondering what you though of it

Re-makes invariably do suck!!! I thought that Guns'n'Roses version of Live and Let Die sucked - the Paul McCartney version was much better...

But I constantly have arguments with the wife over that!!!

But then Mad World was better as a slow version than the Tears For Fears faster version...

Sheryl Crow did an oddly amusing cover of this song. As for the dance remakes- ignore 'em. I've even heard a techno remake of Smells Like Teen Spirit. Eurgh.

how to make a thouroughly anoying dance track with little to no effort.


Step one, go and buy half of dixons

step 2 download a really cheap music ed, such as ejay music ed

step three, download a really great track

step four remove orignal singing and add really basic base line beat.

step five hit the random drumbeat sampler on music ed.

step five release, preferably using some of you annoying dj mates to hype it up and release also as a ringtone for phones

step six sit back and watch as anoying small children and no brainers lap it up.

I agree with you wolfeborn mini mosher wanna be's these days have no sense of musical talent!!!
As for the GnR remix it has well and truely put the final nail in the songs coffin!
I cannot understand modern music why would you want to get famous by ripping off somebody elses music?
Surely fame would be more well deserved by music of your own creation?

I agree with you Eradius Lore I never liked the song myself but I wouldnt go that far....
I am to nice and know alot of people who like the song!
Yet I really despise bands who rip off other peoples music for a quick pay off.

Guns and Roses are a brilliant group. To make a cover of any of their songs is criminal.

I didn't even imagine such a thing was possible. I didn't even dare to imagine it. I only pray to whatever celetial beings that have allowed this to happen that I never hear it.

Considering I only listen to rock and classical stations, it's very possible.

There are some really good remakes out there, but the new sweet child is NOT one of them. Coming from that era, (oh Im dating myself again...lol) it just ticks me off when I hear it on the radio. Much like, I am sure, the harder remake of live and let die ticked my dad off...its a cycle....LOL...
