I voted other, simply because the question on the poll itself was "Who is good?" Well, all of those on the list that I've heard of are "good". None is my favorite, but they're good.

I love that you put Iron Butterfly on the list, by the way, since one hardly hears them anymore - although "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" is on a television ad right now, which I find completely blasphemous, but that's just me.

Of those on the list, I guess I should say I like The Beatles the most, simply because they are the ones who turned me on to music, when I was all of 7 years old. Of all bands, U2 are my favorite. I have a lot of other favorites in different niches and keep collecting more favorites all the time.

I really like Something Corporate and Fallout Boy, both American making really catchy punk/rock/pop. But then I am a teenage boy and thus susceptible to their sugary charms. not to say that I don't appreciate the Who and the Beatles.

Never heard of Iron Butterfly? It must have been in '68 they split up. Nice guys though (Iwas at the Albert Hall concert, but working for Quintessence, not them.
Of course, as a sound enginer I'm professionally without taste, as I must be ready to work with and enjoy anybody who'll pay me. Still, I think Iron Butterfly were symptomatic of an era, rather than causitive like the Beatles or the Who, and thus can't be voted "favorite" Still, to make this list exhaustive would require a serious grid, particularly for people like me whose favorite changes with the phases of the moon (and whose name is on the paycheck)

Why should I have any favos, times change as does (and I say thank goodness) my taste (maybe that`s why I never got a tattoo). Anyhow, since I outgrew my teens I haven`t really been a fan of anything as such. Once in a while a new cool band pops up, I`ll just leave it at that.
