GOLLUM...I put $5 in a sweep today. That's all my betting done ...And I went to take a nap actually

I'll be at work tomorrow but no doubt there will be a TV set when the time comes.

Lou Reed - Romeo had Juliette

"we talk about life, and we talk about love
it gets to the point where the words aint enough
there isnt a reason why this should be wrong
open your heart and i'll play you a song"

HMMM.. that sounds like Lay (all) Your Love On Me. This has been played by various artists inlcuding Information Society.

I think I could be warm...

How bout this, an older song from a legendary songwriter...

Well, my daddy was a fireman and my mama hear
She was the only daughter of the engineer
My sweetheart loved the brakeman and that ain't no joke
Its a shame the way she keeps a good man broke.

Re: Guess the song.

Hey, the answer's in the clue!

That's Fields of Gold by Sting (although Eva Cassady did a brillian cover)

OK, spot this one:

Man-eating orchids forgive no one just yet
Cut myself on Angel's Hair and baby's breath

Re: Guess the song.

Ok how about...

They say things are done for the majority
Don’t believe half of what you see and none of what you hear
It’s like what my painter friend donald said to me
Stick a fork in their *** (backside) and turn them over, they’re done

Re: Guess the song.

By Evansence?

BY EVANESCENCE????

EVANESCENCE???

Good god man, were you even on this planet in the 90s??? A REAL rock band wrote and played this song long before Excresence tarrd it with their pseudo-goth brush.

Eeeks.

PS: Please note that much of the shock and indignation in this post is for humourous effect rather than to attack my esteemed buddy GOLLUM.

No, No, you were right with the previous guess, obviously you haven't tried any Naga Jolokia, which is reputed to be the world's hottest chili. That's OK I'm feeling particualry generous today, so I'll forgive you...
