Cornelius is Flemish, but the country's small enough that he'll probably know of any french speaking bands.
French immersion? In Baton Rouge? (please note lack of any insulting comments whatsoever) What kind of music do your offspring enjoy listening to? Though ancient and doubtless démodé au maximum, I am still in the business, and might be able to find some youngsters here who'll inform me of the state of the art locally

I speek Dutch ( actually Flemish, but it might sound all the same to you)

Try to look for Axelle Red, she has both English and French songs.
Or maybe try Vive la fête, though there music might sound weird ( I like it though, it's a bit kitsch)

There aren't many Good French bands around here ( From la Wallonie, that is) most of them try to sing in English nowadays... well, they try.

there are more French Classics though, like Jaques Brel (he's timeless, he's Belgian)

Re: Bands from your country

The only band from Latvia which is known somewhere outside Latvia is Brainstorm. It is a pop band and they sing nice sweet songs. Not my fav band, as a matter of fact. The Latvian bands I like are Skyforger (they call their style pagan rock) and Jumprava (they are referred to as the Latvian Depeche Mode).
