Loved loved LOVED June’s Picture Show! Its one of the few albums I always have in rotation. Theyre putting out a new album on a new indie label (their earlier stuff was on Hollywood) so I cant wait to see what it sounds like! Its called Look Your Best and the track they released already is great!

Terrible Things: The Powerful Triumvirate

I’ve been using last.fm to find new music and I came across Terrible Things. They have the Young Guns, New Politics, Emerald Honor, etc sort of sound going on, and I am really liking this new album they have out.

On their facebook page (Terrible Things | Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/terriblethings)) they’ve got “ex-Taking Back Sunday vet Fred Mascherino, Coheed and Cambria alumnus Josh Eppard, and Hot Rod Circuit guitarist Andy Jackson forming the powerful triumvirate”.

The new album they have out is a concept album that addresses themes of fear and alienation and I definitely it is definitely worth reading about on their facebook page.
If you want, here’s their album on Amazon if you want to preview it or buy it:
Amazon.com: Terrible Things: Terrible Things: Music (http://amzn.to/dCO4RO)

Nevertheless, great band, great sound and great album.

* *BUNGALOW BUMS* are from Omsk in southern Siberia. They’ve been around since 2006, when they originally cranked out songs under the direct influence of britpop and US rock. With time, however, their interests and influences have moved backwards through the history books. Their listed idols begin with the time-tested threesome of The Stooges, MC5, and the New York Dolls. Somewhere in this post, therefore, the term garage rock is bound to pop up. And indeed the band tell us, almost immediately: “We soon developed a love for classic garage rock from the 1960s in all its forms.”

1st Artist/Producer for Rock Music? FINALLY

I'm a big fan of guys like Mark Ronson and Timbaland and what they've done.....BUT I always grew up on Rock music, and could never understand why there were never any Producers who were Artists in Rock music, like in Urban music and mainstream stuff. Trent Reznor's the closest, but he's a band, not a solo Artist. My Mate passed me over her mate's contact, this guy called *Marc Malone* and all of what he did, which was exactly that! An Alternative Artist/Producer, no synths, no samples, real music but an Artist/Producer doing it.. Like Slash's solo album, meets Mark Ronson's albums. Sounds great, lots of shaping up to do and lots of things I wasn't so keen on. But the concept was impressive. I highly suggest for the indie/alternative/rock fan, about time we had something new right? ?

*I think his EP was called Shades of reality which I picked up from Amazon, tho I think it's on iTunes. *

Before you rip my head off for liking a Billy Ray Cyrus band… hear me out. The new album is out TODAY! Got mine on Amazon Amazon.com: Brother Clyde: Brother Clyde: Music (http://bit.ly/bUV0xZ). Billy Ray Cyrus sounds nothing like what you would expect. Samantha Moloney from Eagles of Death Metal and Hole is drumming, and sounds soo sick. It sounds a little like Nickelback meets Johnny Cash. Insane. The first single Lately sounds straight up like Linkin Park. You can hear some of the tracks on their myspace Brother Clyde on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos (http://www.myspace.com/brotherclyde). Anyone else had a listen yet?
